BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE: When completed in 2025, the University of Rochester’s master plan will be a readily accessible guide for campus design 和 construction covering the next five years, as well as a responsive framework for decision-making over the next 20 years.

University of Rochester has launched a 15-month master planning process, one that will engage the University community in mapping the future of its physical footprint. 的 master plan is one of the drivers of the University’s 2030 strategic plan, 无限的 可能性, 和 the planning process will ensure Rochester’s campuses 和 facilities across the region meet the evolving needs of students, 教师, 工作人员, 和 the broader community as well as institutional zoning requirements for the City of Rochester 和 the Town of Brighton.

When completed in 2025, the master plan will be a readily accessible guide for design 和 construction covering the next five years, as well as a responsive framework for decision-making over the next 20 years. Institutional master plans typically require updating every 10 to 15 years; the last University plan was completed in 2008. 的 updated plan will incorporate the University’s current footprint, which now includes more than 12 million gross-square feet 和 more than 700 acres.
